General Description:
Responsible for representing L&F Distributors Liquor & Wine portfolio to new and existing customer accounts in an assigned territory. Develop and maintain a professional relationship with assigned customer accounts that result in growing distribution, market share and overall sales.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Sells all products in accordance with company guidelines and TABC (Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission) regulations.
- Represents the Company's Liquor & Wine portfolio by developing new business, growing existing accounts, and achieving sales distribution, and merchandising objectives.
- Builds and maintains professional relationships with assigned customer accounts through exceptional customer service and regular sales visits.
- Presents sales programs, identifies growth opportunities, and recommends product selections based on customer needs, market trends, and competitive conditions.
- Plans and executes merchandising initiatives, including displays, shelf management, pricing, inventory recommendations, and point-of-sale (POS) materials.
- Supports On Premise accounts through menu development, beverage features, promotional events, tastings, and product training.
- Develops territory sales plans, services assigned accounts and follows up on customer commitments and concerns.
- Opens new customer accounts and expands existing business opportunities.
- Maintains accurate customer records, route information, sales materials, account receivables, and submits customer orders accurately and timely.
- Collaborates with Sales Managers, Brand Activation Representatives, warehouse personnel, drivers, merchandisers, and other team members to achieve business objectives.
- Attends required meetings, training sessions, promotional events, and completes required reports accurately and on time.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum three (3) years of relevant industry experience with working knowledge of liquor, wine, spirits, merchandising, and beverage sales.
- Five (5) years of customer service & sales experience (preferred).
- Strong communication, organization, and customer relationship skills.
- Ability to manage territory objectives and work independently.
Physical Demands:
- Walking, bending, reaching, standing, and squatting.
- Frequent lifting and carrying up to 65 pounds.
- Extended periods of driving throughout assigned territory.
- Ability to work in retail, restaurant, warehouse, and event environments.
Unavoidable Hazards (Work Environment)
Involves frequent/infrequent, occasional, and routine exposure to:
- Retail, restaurant, bar, warehouse, and event environments.
- Noise, temperature fluctuations, and adverse weather while traveling.
- Moving equipment, inventory, and promotional displays.
- Other extreme hazards not listed above.
Special Certifications and Licenses:
- Must possess and maintain a valid state Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle for business travel. Mileage reimbursement is provided.
- Must be able to pass criminal backgrounds and drug screen.
- TABC Seller/Server Certification is preferred or must be obtained within the first 45 days of employment.
- Industry-recognized certifications such as WSET, Court of Master Sommeliers, ServSafe, or equivalent beverage and food safety credentials are a plus.
