Your Role:
- Lead all daily plant operations, including production, safety, quality, engineering, maintenance, shipping, receiving, procurement, and scheduling.
- Ensure production goals, product quality, and on-time delivery are consistently achieved.
- Drive continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing, process optimization, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Maintain OSHA compliance and promote a strong safety culture through regular floor presence.
- Develop, coach, and lead supervisors and employees while fostering positive union relationships.
- Collaborate with engineering, HR, suppliers, and leadership to improve operations and resolve production challenges.
- Monitor plant performance, budgets, and operational metrics to maximize efficiency and profitability.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree preferred (Engineering or related field); equivalent experience considered.
- 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience, including plant or senior operations management.
- Background in metal fabrication and Lean Manufacturing preferred.
- Experience in a union environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, OSHA regulations, production planning, and continuous improvement.
- Proven leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Microsoft Dynamics AX experience is a plus.
Physical Demands:
- Frequent standing and walking throughout the facility.
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly (80 pounds occasionally).
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing environment with moving machinery, moderate to high noise levels, and occasional exposure to heat and vibration.
