HANDY is seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Grant Development to help secure the funding that powers life-changing programs for underserved youth throughout South Florida.

In this leadership role, you'll drive HANDY's institutional fundraising strategy by identifying funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, cultivating funder relationships, and ensuring grant compliance from award through closeout. What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage a comprehensive grant pipeline across foundation, corporate, and government funding sources. 
  • Research, write, and submit competitive grant proposals, letters of inquiry, and applications. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional funders and community partners. 
  • Collaborate with program, finance, and leadership teams to develop budgets, collect program outcomes, and strengthen funding proposals. 
  • Prepare timely grant reports and ensure compliance with all funding requirements. 
  • Track grant activity, reporting deadlines, and renewal opportunities. 
  • Lead grant strategy efforts that support HANDY's long-term organizational goals.
Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required. 
  • Minimum of four years of successful grant writing and grant management experience, preferably in a nonprofit environment. 
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills. 
  • Demonstrated success securing institutional funding. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously. 
  • Experience interpreting program data and communicating measurable impact. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and donor management systems/CRMs. 
  • Passion for HANDY's mission and commitment to serving youth and families.
