Reports To: Chief Operating Officer 

Status: Full-Time, Exempt 

Salary Range: $58,000 - $68,000 


 


Business Need 


As NHOMS continues to stabilize and scale, we are expanding our People Operations team by adding a second Human Resources Generalist. This position provides redundancy, continuity, and strategic capacity across all HR functions while helping drive employee  


engagement, leadership effectiveness, and organizational culture. 


 


Role Summary 


This position serves as one of two HR Generalists who collectively function as the organization's People Operations leadership team. The role supports approximately 150 employees across multiple locations and partners closely with leadership to strengthen culture, compliance, employee engagement, and operational excellence.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements 


  •  Bachelor's degree required or commensurate experience. 
  •  Minimum 3 years of HR experience. 
  •  Experience administering payroll and benefits. 
  •  Knowledge of employment law and HR compliance. 
  •  Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 


  •  Demonstrated experience leading annual benefits renewals and open enrollment processes, including broker management, carrier negotiations, employee communications, and benefits administration. 

 


Preferred Experience and Qualifications 


  •  SHRM or HRCI certification. 
  •  Multi-state HR experience. 
  •  Healthcare industry experience. 
  •  Experience supporting organizations with 100+ employees. 


  • Familiarity with data collection and reporting and presentation of data to members of leadership 

 


12-Month Success Profile

By 90 Days: 

  •  Develop strong relationships with leaders and employees. 
  •  Become proficient in systems, payroll, and benefits administration. 
  •  Lead and successfully execute the organization's benefits renewal and open enrollment cycle, serving as the primary point of contact for brokers, carriers, leadership, and employees while managing all life cycle stages of the process.  


 


By 6 Months: 

  •  Independently manage employee relations matters. 
  •  Lead key HR operational processes. 
  •  Identify process improvement opportunities. 

 

By 12 Months: 

  •  Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership. 
  •  Improve employee engagement and retention efforts. 
  •  Strengthen compliance and audit readiness. 
  •  Support workforce planning and organizational growth initiatives.
