Description

San Diego based General Contractor is seeking an experienced General Superintendent to join our growing team.

About the Position



Join a rapidly growing commercial general contractor where you'll have the opportunity to shape field operations, develop future construction leaders, and play a key role in delivering exceptional projects throughout the western United States. As General Superintendent, you'll provide strategic leadership across multiple projects while partnering with Project Managers and executive leadership to drive operational excellence, safety, quality, and project success.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Superintendents. 
  • Drive successful project execution through planning, scheduling, coordination, and field leadership. 
  • Champion a culture of safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement. 
  • Partner with Project Managers to proactively resolve challenges, mitigate risk, and deliver exceptional results. 
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and project stakeholders. 
  • Establish consistency and operational excellence across multiple active projects. 
  • Travel to project sites throughout the western United States as needed.

Requirements

  

We're looking for someone with:

  • Typically requires 10+ years of progressive commercial construction experience, including leadership of large or multiple projects. 
  • Previous experience as a Senior Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar field leadership role. 
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction means and methods, scheduling, sequencing, quality control, and safety requirements.      
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules. 
  • Proven success in leading, coaching, and developing Superintendents or other field leaders. 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. 
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred. 
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout the western United States.

This position pays between $160,000  - $190,000  depending on experience. This position will also include a company vehicle and a gas card.

Salary Description
160,000.00 - $190,000.00 annual DOE
