DESCRIPTION 

Small Fabrication Group Lead will be responsible for assisting, training and coaching within the small fabrication department. Quality inspections will be performed to ensure error free work within their respective area. Required to perform various tasks within the department as deemed necessary by the Director of Operations.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

o Responsible for ensuring quality, on-time delivery of fabricated parts within their assigned area

o Verification that all work orders have been properly transacted

o Inspection of all parts to ensure quality

o Interfacing with engineering and other departments as necessary to complete tasks

o Fosters a culture of safety by proactively identifying and eliminating safety concerns

o Responsible for training and personnel development within their area

o Properly transact work orders to capture labor and costs

o Areas of Responsibility include, but are not limited to:

           Structural Weld

           Augers/Housings

           TIG/B2

           Small Parts B3

           Apprenticeship Training

Requirements

  

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

o High school diploma or equivalent

o 10-15 years of relative experience welding in a manufacturing environment

o Vocational or trade school preferred

o Basic knowledge of ASME welder qualifications and processes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

o Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry up to 50 pounds repeatedly

o Must be physically able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl and climb

o Must be respirator certified in order to wear a PAPR system for welding

o Must be able to perform welding in a confined space

Salary Description
$60,000-$70,000
