Accounting Clerk
Description

HP Tuners is seeking an Accounting Clerk that will assist the company in maintaining our financial goals. The role is primarily responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the organization by performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks. This position assists with accounts payable, accounts receivable, data entry, account reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. This role will be based onsite in Buffalo Grove, IL.


This position reports to the Accounting Manager.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for receiving, processing, and verifying invoices related to accounts payables.
  • Performing general bookkeeping duties focusing on accounts payable, analyzing and processing vendor invoices in NetSuite, and reconciling accounts.
  • Prepare and post receipts, deposits, sales orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard accounts receivable tasks.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and payable aging schedules.
  • Assist Finance department with various administrative, data entry functions, and ad hoc projects.
  • Monitor spend and provide coordination of employee travel, company events, and other office expenses through expense management tools.
  • Process incoming mail related to accounting and distribute documents appropriately.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and company information.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND COMPETENCIES

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of work-related experience required. 
  • Experience with accounting software or ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Integrity, with the ability to maintain business confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Knowledge of office equipment, including scanning and document sorting.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
  • Strong data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. 

Physical Requirements

  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and work at a desk and computer for prolonged periods of time.

Compensation and Benefits


At HP Tuners LLC, we understand that compensation plays a key role when considering a new opportunity. We are dedicated to ensuring fair pay for all employees and continually work towards greater transparency in our compensation practices. The estimated base salary range for this position is $58,000 – 63,000, with actual pay determined including factors such as location, skills, experience, and other relevant considerations. This position also qualifies for a discretionary bonus and a complete benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability coverage, paid time off (PTO), and a 401(k) program with employer matching.
