Position Overview:

A Quality Analyst is responsible for testing products, systems and software to guarantee they are defect-free and fulfill the quality standards of the organization. A QA will help in developing and executing test plans to ensure that all objectives are met to assess functionality, reliability, performance and quality of the service or product.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and executes manual (functional and usability) and automated test strategies for B2B products. 
  • Develop workflow and testing plans based on observation and knowledge of business users to accurately simulate users’ needs; creating and administering company-wide test scenarios. 
  • Empathize with end-users needs to provide an exceptional user experience. 
  • Works with Product Managers to break down Epics and Requirements into Acceptance Criteria. 
  • Ability to coordinate testing efforts across cross-functional teams. 

Education and Work Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience as a Business Analyst, Quality Analyst, or QA engineer. 
  • Experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry is a plus 

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities. 
  • Ability to interact with and effectively communicate with all levels of the organization 
  • Excellent communication skills 
  • Knowledge of common testing methodologies (functional, usability, performance, compliance, security, regression) 
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence and Microsoft 365.

Typical Physical Demands:

  • Requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, occasional stooping, and reaching; May require lifting-up to 25 pounds; requires normal range of vision and hearing with or without accommodations.
