JOB SUMMARY
A Senior HR Generalist is responsible for supporting daily human resources operations and ensuring compliance with company policies and labor regulations. This role supports multiple HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, onboarding, benefits, payroll, process improvement, HSE, training and employee engagement. This role partners closely with HR leadership to ensure consistent, compliant, and employee-focused HR practices while serving as a trusted resource to managers and employees. Senior HR Generalists typically work in office environments and collaborate closely with managers and employees across departments.
- Conduct new hire onboarding and orientation.
- Partner closely with hiring managers to understand workforce staffing needs.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, responding to HR-related questions and issues while escalating complex matters appropriately.
- Support investigations, documentation, and follow-up related to employee concerns.
- Maintain employee records and HR databases in HR system.
- Support payroll, benefits, and leave programs.
- Address employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures.
- Assist with policy updates and implementation.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws and company regulations.
- Manage training and development programs.
- Prepare HR reports and documentation as requested.
- Support managers on weekly timesheet reviews and approvals.
- Assist with employee engagement activities.
- Collaborate with HSE as needed on HR-related policies and procedures
- Conduct exit interviews and summarize trends for HR leadership.
- Provide support across various HR functions as needed.
- 15% travel is required to other UBE sites.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- 5 + years of proven experience in HR
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to handle employee information with a high level of confidentiality.
