Engineer
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Engineer. The Engineer is responsible for providing engineering support for the repair station’s operations.
Key duties
· The performance of new product development as required for testing capabilities.
· Performing research and development as required for tooling/equipment substantiations and FAA accepted repairs.
· Designing, managing, and monitoring the performance of fabricated tooling/equipment within the scope of the repair station’s validation program.
· Performing equivalency evaluations and determinations within the scope of the repair station’s validation program.
· Providing engineering support to the repair station for failure analysis as requested by the repair station’s Managing Director/Accountable Manager and the repair station’s customer base.
· Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience is required.
· Minimum 5 years in developing testing capabilities in a FAA Certificated Repair Station.
· Excellent verbal, writing, listening, and interpersonal skills to interact with all functional levels of internal contacts.
· Experience in data input, tracking, and project management.
· Ability to work and interact with departments throughout the organization.
- Must be experienced in SolidWorks, LabVIEW, Sigma, etc.
- Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook)
- Must be able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
- Must have attention to detail.
- Must have exceptional verbal and written communication.
- Must exhibit a high level of confidentiality with work product.
- Normal amount of sitting, walking, and standing; average mobility to move around a testing laboratory environment.
- Must be able to use hands and arms for repetitive movements, while performing new product development.
- May occasionally be required to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
· Salary position commensurate with experience level and skill level and/or certifications. $80K-$98K
