Position Overview


Greater Middlesex & Morris Habitat for Humanity (GMM Habitat) is seeking a hands-on Senior Marketing Specialist to lead the day-to-day execution of marketing, digital, and communications initiatives. This is an exciting new role that will have an immediate and direct impact on GMM Habitat’s growth and visibility.


This role is responsible for managing core digital platforms, executing campaigns, and producing content that supports fundraising, advocacy, volunteer engagement, and overall brand visibility.


Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications, this position balances strategy with execution—ensuring brand consistency, managing timelines, and translating mission impact into compelling, integrated marketing efforts. The ideal candidate is a quick learner and self-starter that takes initiative.


Key Responsibilities


Digital Marketing & Platform Management

  • Manage and maintain GMM Habitat’s digital marketing ecosystem, including website, email marketing, social media, and campaign platforms
  • Develop and execute integrated digital campaigns supporting fundraising, advocacy, volunteer recruitment, ReStore initiatives, and strategic partnerships 
  • Oversee and maintain content calendars across all channels
  • Monitor analytics and performance metrics; recommend optimizations to improve reach, engagement, and conversion

Content Development & Brand Management

  • Create and manage digital and written content including email campaigns, social media posts, landing pages, and storytelling content
  • Ensure all materials align with Habitat for Humanity brand standards and affiliate guidelines
  • Translate programs, data, and impact into clear, compelling messaging for donors, volunteers, partners, and the public

Project Management & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as day-to-day project manager for marketing initiatives, including timelines, deliverables, and internal coordination
  • Collaborate with internal Development, Construction, ReStore, and Advocacy teams to support organizational goals
  • Proactively identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and ensure projects stay on track

Operations & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain high standards for accuracy, quality, and professionalism across all deliverables
  • Balance speed, volume, and attention to detail while incorporating feedback
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices; recommend innovative approaches to strengthen impact

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $60,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)

Requirements


Qualifications


Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marketing, digital marketing, or communications
  • Demonstrated experience managing social media platforms, email marketing tools, and digital campaigns
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams

Preferred

  • Experience in nonprofit, mission-driven, or advocacy-focused organizations

  • Social media and email marketing platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Canva, Constant Contact)

Salary Description
$60,000 - $75,000 (commensurate with experience)
