Office Manager
Description

Catholic Cemeteries Association, based at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Kansas City, Missouri, is seeking an Office Manager. This full-time, in-office position reports to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing the cemeteries' financial operations, including budgeting, banking relationships, stewardship, insurance and risk management, as well as human resources functions. 


Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Maintain bookkeeping records. 
  • Prepare, administer, and review budget process in collaboration with General Manager, Executive Directors and the cemetery board, subject to review and/or approval. 
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. 
  • Direct cash management to include deposits, bank reconciliations, and managing disbursements. 
  • Maintain sound banking relationships, including the reconciliation of all banking records. 
  • Coordinate liability and property insurance, and workers compensation.        
  • Perform core HR administrative functions such as payroll, onboarding and offboarding, benefits administration, timekeeping, and medical leaves such as STD and/or FMLA.   
  • Process all at-need and Pre-need documents in Nexus. 
  • Oversee day-to-day procedures and burials. 
  • Manages office staff.

Requirements

 Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in business or accounting.  
  • Minimum three years’ experience in accounting, bookkeeping and office administration or closely related field; non-profit is preferred.  
  • Intermediate skills in QuickBooks, Word and Excel; work equally well with Mac and PC software. 
  • A practicing Catholic in good standing with the Church is highly preferred; a person of the Christian faith who supports the mission and ministry of Catholic Cemeteries is required.
