Dining Services Supervisor Responsibilities will include:
- Provides leadership on a daily basis for all personnel on duty.
- Observes dining room service at meal times; assists where needed.
- Monitors refrigerator temperatures, notes any issues and acts appropriately.
- Ensures all food temperatures are taken and documented and are within the appropriate range.
- Ensures equipment temperatures are taken and documented on a daily basis.
- Checks for diet communication changes and documents/communicates appropriately
- Monitors the appropriateness and accuracy of diets for residents as served by staff. Strives for 100% accuracy.
- Processes invoices as assigned.
- Assists in the interviewing and selection of Culinary Service staff.
- Educates staff on diets and other issues as required.
- Conducts AM/PM shift meeting regularly, communicating information to staff as appropriate.
- Completes food/supply purchases as assigned and maintains budget in respective purchases to the best of their ability and communicates challenges to Director of Culinary Services.
Requirements
Dining Services Supervisor Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in a restaurant kitchen, waitress/waiter, or fast food required.
- Supervising experience strongly desired.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Knowledge of proper sanitation techniques.
- Safe Serve Certificate or must be obtained within first six months of employment
