THE JOB:

As a Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and oversight for hotel maintenance and engineering operations. You will manage all Engineering activities to ensure smooth operation of all systems and services required to meet/exceed Company Standards, provide outstanding guest service, and financial profitability.

Requirements

Vocational schooling, military training, certification, and/or five years of experience with one year as a Director of Engineering or Chief Engineer in a similar setting. 

Experience within a hotel/resort environment.

Must have strong working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, refrigeration, roofs, building finishes, and mechanical operations.

Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment inventories.

Maintain regular reports on engineering operations and ongoing projects for senior management. 

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, building codes, and industry standards by establishing and enforcing safety protocols and procedures. 

Make routine inspections to identify potential hazards and address them as soon as possible.  

Ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions based on analytical thinking.  

Knowledge about industry best practices  

Requires the ability to lead others in the department by mentoring and providing training that results in staff that meets/exceeds guest expectations and provides a high level of guest satisfaction. 

Ability and experience in successfully leading and coordinating staff in a high-volume, time-sensitive environment

Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.

Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.

Salary Description
$120,000.00 to $130,000.00 Annually
