Job Overview Summary 

The Director, Pharmaceuticals is a senior sales leadership role responsible for driving new business acquisition and expanding market presence within the pharmaceutical and life sciences vertical. This role is focused on developing and executing a strategic sales approach to secure new logos, build a robust pipeline, and establish long-term customer relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology companies, contract development and manufacturing organizations (CDMOs), and other life sciences organizations.


This individual will serve as the primary driver of revenue growth within the pharmaceutical vertical, aligning technology and security solutions to customer business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry challenges. Over time, this role will evolve to include building, leading, and mentoring a team of account executives to scale growth and expand Minuteman's presence across the pharmaceutical market. Expected travel to Minuteman offices on the East Coast and to customer sites 50% of the time.


What you’ll be doing (and doing well!):

· Establish yourself, and the organization, as a subject matter expert (SME) within the pharmaceutical and life sciences market through thought leadership articles, speaking engagements, and participation in industry associations and events.

· Support Regional Sales team members with opportunities they identify within the pharmaceutical vertical.

· Drive new business development within pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations, with a focus on acquiring net-new customers.

· Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to penetrate pharmaceutical manufacturers, biotechnology companies, CDMOs, and other regulated life sciences organizations.

· Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets.

· Establish and nurture executive-level relationships with key stakeholders, including IT, Operations, Manufacturing, Quality, Engineering, Security, and Compliance leaders.

· Position and articulate the value of Minuteman's solutions in alignment with customer business objectives, digital transformation initiatives, cybersecurity priorities, and regulatory requirements, including GxP, FDA, and other applicable standards.

· Collaborate with marketing, solution engineering, and executive leadership to refine go-to-market strategies for the pharmaceutical vertical.

· Lead complex enterprise sales cycles, including solution development, negotiations, contract management, and closing high-value opportunities.

· Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to influence solution strategy, service offerings, and market positioning.

· Help define the long-term strategy for the pharmaceutical vertical, including sales processes, account strategies, and playbooks.

· Mentor and support future pharmaceutical account executives as the team expands.

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

· Business Development & Hunting – Proven success identifying, prospecting, qualifying, and closing net-new enterprise business within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences industry.

· Industry Expertise – Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and life sciences landscape, including manufacturing operations, research environments, regulatory requirements, validation processes, and digital transformation initiatives.

Pay Transparency Statement

The base salary range for this role is $108,000 - $150,000 with variable commission plan commiserate with quota targets. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience and may vary from the amounts listed above. This position may also be eligible for a variable bonus or commission in addition to base salary as well as health coverage, paid holidays, and other benefits.
