Job Description Summary:
The Computer Operator II (CO II) supervises and schedules work assignments, maintains records, and performs quality control checks in a field environment. This role requires subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete various administrative tasks and resolve complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and schedule work assignments for subordinate positions.
- Maintain a wide variety of financial and other records, both manually and electronically.
- Verify statistical reports for accuracy and completeness.
- Compile information and handle complaints.
- Provide input to data collection plans, forms, and instructions.
- Prepare data collector handbooks and training materials.
- Conduct quality control checks on collected data.
- Develop procedures to collect data during operational test events.
- Prepare and deliver daily safety briefings and status reports.
- Investigate data anomalies and handle requests for information.
- Conduct training for data collectors.
- Use GPS for field site grid coordinates and drive to test sites.
General Duties:
- Walk across unimproved terrain in a field environment carrying necessary gear for data collection.
- Use tablets and other electronic devices for data collection.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Must be able to carry 10lb backpack with equipment (tablet, food, water, etc.) throughout field environment
- Must be able to walk approximately 5 miles through the field environment throughout your shift
- Must be able to get in and out of military vehicles
- Must be able to be outside in extreme heat conditions for long periods of time
- Communicate via military radios utilizing phonetic alphabet and terminology
- Comfortable with limited restroom facilities
Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Must hold US Citizenship.
- Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Common Access Card and Local Area Network account required.
- Valid State driver's license and car insurance for access to military installations and travel.
- Demonstrated proficiency in quality control and data management.
- Prior data collection and military experience with an understanding of military terminology, field operations, and military tactical experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Three years of experience in operational testing or a similar administrative occupation.
- Proficiency in quality control capabilities and data management.
- Knowledge of MS Access, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint.
- Ability to use tablets for electronic data collection.
- College coursework in a computer-related field is desirable.

Salary Description
$21.75 hourly
