Caladwich Consulting is seeking an experienced, motivated Distribution Project Supervisor (Trainer) to support Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution warehouse operations. The Distribution Project Supervisor (Trainer) is responsible for supervising daily warehouse activities while developing, coordinating, and delivering workforce training programs that ensure employees are qualified, compliant, and prepared to support DLA's mission-critical distribution operations.
This position offers the opportunity to enhance operational readiness by building a highly trained workforce capable of safely and efficiently executing warehouse, inventory, transportation, and distribution functions in support of the Department of Defense.

Core responsibilities
· Supervise daily warehouse operations while ensuring employees perform assigned duties safely, efficiently, and in accordance with DLA operational procedures.
· Develop, coordinate, and deliver training programs covering warehouse operations, Warehouse Management System (WMS) processes, safety requirements, and standard operating procedures.
· Conduct new employee onboarding, refresher training, cross-training, and recurring certification programs for warehouse personnel.
· Monitor employee performance, identify training needs, and implement developmental plans that improve workforce capability and operational performance.
· Ensure compliance with contract requirements, DLA policies, OSHA regulations, and Quality Control Plan (QCP) standards through effective workforce training.
· Maintain training records, certifications, attendance documentation, and reports supporting audit readiness and contract compliance.
· Collaborate with project leadership and Government representatives to support operational improvements, workforce readiness, and continuous learning initiatives.
Operational Support
· Coordinate workforce training schedules while minimizing operational impacts and maintaining production requirements.
· Evaluate training effectiveness through employee observations, operational metrics, and performance assessments.
· Support warehouse operations involving receiving, storage, inventory management, packaging, shipping, transportation, and customer service functions.
· Assist supervisors in implementing process improvements, corrective actions, and operational best practices.
· Monitor compliance with safety procedures, equipment certifications, and required operational training.
· Support contingency operations, surge staffing, transition activities, and special projects by ensuring personnel remain mission ready.
· Prepare training reports, workforce readiness metrics, and documentation for project leadership and Government stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
· High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Education, or a related field preferred.
· Minimum three (3) years of supervisory experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.
· Minimum three (3) years of experience developing or delivering employee training programs in warehouse or operational environments.
· Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), warehouse operations, inventory management, and distribution processes.
· Experience developing training materials, standard operating procedures, job aids, and workforce development programs.
· Strong presentation, coaching, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills.
· Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and virtual training platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience supporting DLA Distribution or Department of Defense logistics operations.
· OSHA Outreach Trainer certification or equivalent workplace safety training credentials.
· Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent continuous improvement certification.
· Experience training employees on SAP-WMS or other automated warehouse management systems.

· Must be able to pass background investigations including a FBI fingerprint check and a National Agency Check with Inquires (NACI) adjudication.
