ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
CyKor is seeking a high-impact Director, Navy/USMC Sales to lead and grow our Navy/USMC business while serving as a producing sales leader within the organization. This role is responsible for overseeing the Navy/USMC sales team, driving strategic account growth across the portfolio, mentoring and developing talent, and directly engaging in priority customer relationships and opportunities. This is a leadership role for a proven Federal sales professional who understands the Navy and Marine Corps market, can build trust with customers and partners, and knows how to convert mission understanding into measurable business growth. The ideal candidate brings the leadership discipline to run a team and the sales instincts to remain directly involved in key pursuits, customer strategy, and deal execution.
The Director will be expected to set the tone for performance, accountability, collaboration, recruiting, and forecasting discipline across the Navy/USMC vertical while also contributing individually to strategic opportunities and account growth. This role is central to expanding CyKor’s presence as a mission-focused Technology Solutions Provider supporting naval and expeditionary missions, while also helping build the next generation of sales talent within the vertical.
Lead the Navy/USMC Sales Team
· Provide day-to-day leadership, direction, and accountability for the Navy/USMC sales team
· Establish clear priorities, sales expectations, and operating cadence across the vertical
· Coach, mentor, and develop Client Directors and other sales team members to improve performance, pipeline quality, and customer engagement
· Recruit, attract, and help retain high-performing sales talent aligned with CyKor’s culture, market strategy, and growth objectives
· Help build the bench for the future by identifying capability gaps, strengthening team depth, and developing talent pipelines for long-term success
· Conduct regular pipeline, forecast, and account reviews to ensure discipline and execution
· Foster a high-performance culture built on accountability, collaboration, professionalism, and follow-through
Lead as a Producing Sales Leader
· Maintain direct involvement in strategic customer accounts, priority opportunities, and critical partner relationships
· Personally engage in key pursuits where executive presence, customer intimacy, or complex deal leadership is required
· Help shape and advance important opportunities while modeling strong sales discipline and customer engagement for the team
· Balance leadership responsibilities with direct contribution to vertical growth and strategic wins
Drive Vertical Growth Strategy
· Develop and execute the go-to-market strategy for the Navy/USMC business
· Identify priority accounts, mission areas, and growth targets across Navy and Marine Corps organizations
· Align CyKor’s capabilities to customer priorities in areas such as network modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, edge, infrastructure, and mission support
· Expand CyKor’s footprint across existing accounts while identifying whitespace and net-new growth opportunities
· Build long-term account strategies that support sustained, profitable growth across the portfolio
Build Customer and Partner Relationships
· Establish and strengthen trusted relationships with Navy and USMC leaders, program offices, contracting stakeholders, and mission owners
· Serve as a senior representative of CyKor within the Navy/USMC community
· Work closely with OEMs, strategic partners, and systems integrators to align partner capabilities to customer mission needs and priority pursuits
· Increase CyKor’s visibility, credibility, and trusted-advisor status across the market
Drive Opportunity Development and Sales Execution
· Ensure a healthy, qualified pipeline across the Navy/USMC vertical with strong coverage and clear paths to procurement
· Guide opportunity identification, qualification, shaping, and progression across the team
· Track acquisition strategies, contract vehicles, budget signals, and funding timelines to improve pursuit positioning
· Maintain forecasting accuracy and strong CRM hygiene within Salesforce
· Ensure high-value opportunities are supported with the right internal attention, solution alignment, and executive engagement
Partner Across the Business
· Collaborate closely with Solutions, Alliances, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and executive leadership to support account growth and pursuit success
· Help align technical strategy, partner engagement, pricing approach, and customer messaging for priority deals
· Support internal coordination from opportunity development through close and transition to delivery
· Contribute market intelligence and customer insight to help shape broader company growth strategy
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
· 10+ years of technology sales experience in the Federal market, with significant experience in Navy and/or USMC accounts
· Prior sales leadership experience with responsibility for coaching, team performance, forecasting, recruiting, and account strategy
· Proven track record of growing strategic accounts and closing complex Federal technology opportunities
· Strong understanding of Navy and Marine Corps organizations, procurement dynamics, and mission priorities
· Experience managing pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity activity in Salesforce
· Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional pursuit efforts involving sales, engineering, operations, and partners
· Strong executive presence, communication skills, and customer-facing professionalism
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
· Existing relationships across Navy and/or Marine Corps program offices, commands, or acquisition communities
· Experience as a producing sales leader with responsibility for both team leadership and direct account engagement
· Background in network modernization, cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, zero trust, edge, or mission-support technologies
· Experience working with OEMs and strategic channel partners in the Federal market
· Military experience, particularly Navy, Marine Corps, or broader DoD experience, is a plus
