Position Summary:
Creates value for our customers by developing collaborative partnerships and by managing the daily activities of their employees ensuring timely and effective merchandising service to all accounts.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Administers and promotes safe working practices within all working environments
- Provides vision and leadership for continuous improvement in talent acquisition, performance management and employee relations to create an environment where people can thrive.
- Builds positive valued customer relationships by ensuring teammates follow all retail store procedures, policies and communicate with respect and professionalism with all store personnel.
- Report any retailer questions, complaints or other concerns to Grocery Area Sales
- Manager.
- Regularly trains, coaches and hold assigned employees accountable to ensure effectiveness in merchandising, rotation, display building, store communication, breakers, backroom appearances and inventory management.
- Follows and enforces corporate Sales and Merchandising Standards guidelines to ensure the rotation & merchandising of all corporate products including restocking to avoid out-of-stocks, making minor legal space adjustments, building displays, providing and installing P.O.S., and pricing product as allowed by retailers.
Maintain schematics and space integrity. - Collaborates and builds relationships with all Silver Eagle departments to ensure efficient work flow for optimal customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.
- Conduct routine merchandiser meetings covering; work orders, other departmental communications, and Key Measures objectives.
- Manages merchandiser’s work hours and overtime to stay in line with operation budgets, maximizing hourly production by sharing knowledge while coaching their teammates.
- Follows and implements suppliers marketing guidelines and their code date policies.
- Perform all required administrative duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Two (2) years of merchandising experience preferred. Prior grocery store and/or consumer products experience a strong plus
- Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements
- Daily, in person travel within the service territories of Silver Eagle required
- Required to work Saturday and Sundays
- Able to handle alcohol, and work within T.A.B.C Guidelines
- Intermediate computer knowledge in MS Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point
- Must have a smart phone with a camera and data capability
- A valid Texas drivers license with a driving record acceptable under company Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) guidelines
- A dependable personal motor vehicle, suitable for work use, and capable of transporting up to 20 cases of product and/or display materials with proof of liability insurance
Physical Requirement:
- Talk, hear, and see (including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus)
- Continuous standing and walking, up to 8 hours at a time
- Continuous lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling 20-161 lbs
- Ability to operate a two or four-wheel dolly
- Must be able to push 300 lbs dolly load and move 161 lbs kegs
- Must be able to safely operate a pallet jack
- Frequent driving distances between 0-75 miles in one sitting
- Frequent climbing pushing, pulling and maneuvering dolly, hand truck, boxes, cases, and kegs
Working Conditions:
- All weather conditions (indoor & outdoor) including high temperatures, cool/cold temperatures, wind, ice, humidity, rain, fog, hail, sleet and snow
- Daylight, twilight, evening and dark lighting conditions
- Noise, vibration, dust, dirt, airborne particles, fumes
- Work hours will vary daily due to business needs
