Program Manager, School-Based Services Summary
The Program Manager, School-Based Services provides operational and clinical leadership for Primary Health Solutions' school-based behavioral health programs. This position supervises school-based behavioral health staff, ensures quality clinical services, regulatory compliance, productivity, documentation standards, and develops collaborative partnerships with school districts and community organizations. The Program Manager promotes integrated behavioral healthcare while supporting staff development, quality improvement, and exceptional care for children, adolescents, and families.
A Day in the Life
Provide supervision, coaching, and performance management for assigned school-based staff.
Conduct regular supervision meetings and annual evaluations.
Monitor productivity, documentation quality, and caseload distribution.
Review documentation for quality and compliance.
Support recruitment, onboarding, and retention.
Collaborate with school administrators, counselors, teachers, and community agencies.
Ensure compliance with agency policies, payer requirements, and school agreements.
Monitor program outcomes and quality improvement initiatives.
Provide consultation regarding crisis response and complex student situations.
Coordinate staffing coverage across assigned schools.
Participate in leadership, school, and multidisciplinary meetings.
Support strategic planning and program development.
Ensure staff maintain required licensure and training.
Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive culture.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Success Requirements
Education/Experience
Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or another behavioral health discipline required. Minimum three (3) years of behavioral health experience required. Supervisory experience preferred. School-based behavioral health experience strongly preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, staff, leadership, and community partners.

Ability to exercise independent judgment, solve operational and clinical problems, and prioritize competing demands.
Computer Skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record systems.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Valid Ohio LMSW, LPC, or higher behavioral health licensure designation required.
Other Applicable Requirements
Strong leadership, coaching, organizational, and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of Medicaid documentation, behavioral health regulations, trauma-informed care, and school-based service delivery preferred.
Physical Demands
Frequent standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
Work Environment
Primary work is performed in school settings with occasional travel between assigned locations.
