Job Title: Production Supervisor 2nd Shift

SUMMARY: 

We are hiring a Production Supervisor to lead a team on 2nd shift. In this role, the production supervisor will guarantee that manufacturing remains a smooth and efficient process by monitoring employees and organizing workflows. In a fast-paced environment like production, the supervisor is an integral part of the manufacturing process. They must be competent and comprehend complex operations. You should be able to optimize day-to-day activities while minimizing the costs. The goal is to ensure that production processes deliver products of maximum quality in a profitable manner.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

  • Ability to work effectively in both a team and autonomous environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Problem-solving skills
  • High School Diploma; Degree in a technical, engineering or relevant field preferred

YOUR ROLE:

  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees.
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules.
  • Closely supervise employees on assigned shift through coaching and training to meet specific goals for each production line/area.
  • Understands the operation of the machinery and job tasks on the production line.
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements.
  • Ensures quality standards are understood and maintained by all direct reports. 
  • Enforce the Company work rules and administer progressive discipline as necessary per established guidelines. 
  • Assists direct reports in maintaining a safe and accident-free work environment. 
  • Evaluate the performance of direct reports and provide constructive feedback for employment growth.
    Identify process improvement opportunities and help with implementation.
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance.
  • Help coordinate the flow of production between shifts, communicating relevant information about production activities and potential issues.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

  • The ability to lift (from floor to waist level), push, and pull 50 pounds.
  • The ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time on concrete surfaces with regular periods of stooping, bending, or sitting.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

  • 2nd Shift / M-Thursday 2p – 1a
  • M-Thursday, minimum 40 hours Mandated Overtime as needed Fridays and Saturdays
