Under the supervision of the Director of Hospitality Services, Hospitality Services Staff members maintain a clean and comfortable environment in all accommodations, meeting spaces, program facilities, and public areas.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Per assigned team or route, daily cleans assigned areas including accommodations, meeting spaces, program facilities and public places
- Cleans guest rooms, includes bathrooms; vacuums, sweeps, makes beds, and empties trash
- Cleans public areas, includes vacuums, sweeps, washes windows, empties trash and straightens furniture.
- Cleans cottages between guests, includes kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, stocks linen closets and other supplies.
- Assists with cleaning of cottages and other routes daily.
- Cleans public restrooms daily; cleans staff restrooms Sunday–Friday.
- Practices safe chemical usage. Note: If under 16 years old, may not use bathroom cleaning chemicals.
- Maintains clean and clutter-free areas on assigned route and hospitality services staff area.
- Reports any damage or maintenance concerns.
- Performs other duties, as requested.
- As a 24-hour operation, all staff may be asked to work weekends, evenings, night shifts and/or holidays to serve our members, guests, and program participants.
· High school degree or equivalent desired, but not required.
· A valid driver’s license is preferred, but not required.
· Ability to interpret oral and written informational data is required.
· Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse groups of people representing all social and economic segments of the community.
· Excellent customer service skills and the ability to enforce rules in a professional and positive manner is a must.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position requires the ability to walk, pull, push, sit, bend, or stand for prolonged periods of time. Other physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 25 pounds
