Description

Primary Responsibility: 


To work alongside the welding team at QuikCut; welding on a wide variety of products. To meet high expectations and standards set by QuikCut, and providing quality work while completing welding projects in an efficient amount of time. 


Major Responsibilities:

  • Be able to efficiently read blueprints and drawings. 
  • Be able to read and take measurements to plan layout and procedures.    
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment and method needed for the project at hand based on specifications listed by the client.  
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications.  
  • Operate grinders to prepare each part that must be welded. 
  • Align components using calipers, rulers, heigh gauges, protractors, squares, clamps and other measurement tools necessary.  
  • Weld components using MIG or TIG welding whichever is called for depending on the project being completed.  
  • Weld in various positions: vertical, horizontal or overhead 
  • Repair projects or other components by welding pieces together or filling gaps. 
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to establish and repair any flaws or defects left from the welding.  
  • Keep all welding equipment in a condition that would not disregard QuikCuts safety policies.  
  • Be able to lift anything from 10 pounds to 50 pounds. Anything over 50 pounds will be lifted assisted by a forklift, crane or magnets.
