Description
Position Summary: Support the Prototype Lab in daily activities with the assembly of
prototype (sales and engineering) seats and general mock-ups using aluminum, steel, wood and foam…etc. Technician II will operate machines to create/modify prototype parts/assemble.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following, other duties may be assigned:
- Assist Prototype, Sales, and CDR Seats in developing new seats and/or parts.
- Build proto-type or mock-ups with aluminium, steel, wood, foam board
- Operate one or more of the following machine 3-Axis Mill, Lathe or 3D printer.
- Operate all the Prototyping lab supporting machinery including vertical saw, shear, chop saw…etc.
- Assemble and reassemble development test seats.
- Ballast Dynamic test seats
- Operating Forklift
- Understand blueprint drawings and tolerances
- Must be able to work well with hand tools (files, sanding, painting, wrenches, air tools, etc.)
- Maintain clean organized working environment, ensuring that accountability for tooling and material is maintained.
- Assist in new design projects providing necessary support to meet completion dates.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Requires 4-7 years of relevant work experience
- Creative mind set to help develop new concepts
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Open minded, willing to learn, and must be okay with constant change.
- Good attendance record
