Corporate Communications Manager
Remote Worker - N/A Marketing
Job Type
Full-time
Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

ADDMAN is looking for a corporate communications leader who specializes in helping executives turn complex business strategy into clear, compelling stories — for the audiences that matter most. You will never be in the room when the pitch is made. But your work will be felt in every meeting.

This role sits at the intersection of strategy and marketing through the elements of strategic messaging, executive preparation, and narrative craft. You will translate the value of ADDMAN's business into stories tailored for high-stakes audiences — government agencies, enterprise customers, and key partners — then shape those stories into presentations, storyboards, and infographics that our CEO and commercial team deliver with confidence.

Our Executive and Commercial Teams know our capabilities, our customers, and what has historically moved people. What we need is a rigorous thinking partner who layers market and audience intelligence onto that foundation — researching who's in the room, what they care about, what objections they'll bring — and then sharpens our message to meet them there. You don't replace our instincts. You make them undeniably compelling.

This is not a graphic design role. ADDMAN relies on production resources in-house and through trusted partners. What we need is the mind that figures out what to say, to whom, why it matters to them — and how to make sure it lands, often in the form of a PowerPoint presentation that ADDMAN’s CEO will deliver to business partners and government agencies.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Own the narrative. Develop the strategic storyline for every major external communication — determining what ADDMAN needs the audience to believe, feel, and do by the end of the meeting.
  • Write and structure executive presentations. Build the logic, flow, and content of slide decks, leave-behinds, and briefing materials that make complex value propositions feel simple and inevitable.
  • Know the audience before the ADDMAN team walks in. Research and map each audience's priorities, pressures, and decision criteria — then translate ADDMAN's capabilities into exactly what that audience needs to hear.
  • Iterate with the CEO and Commercial Leaders on delivery. Develop scripts, prepare talking points, and conduct rehearsal coaching so ADDMAN delivers with clarity, confidence, and authenticity — in one own voice.
  • Brief and direct production. Hand off clear, detailed creative briefs to internal design and video teams so production executes your vision without you in the room.
  • Develop and manage core presentation messaging. Maintain a living library of messaging strategy, proof points, case studies, and value propositions — adapted quickly for any audience or opportunity.
  • Support media and partner communications. Develop executive messaging for media appearances, partner announcements, and industry engagements in coordination with leadership.
  • Support high-priority pursuits. When a major government contract, customer opportunity, or partnership is on the line, you are the first call.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Story architecture — ability to build a narrative structure that drives a specific audience to a specific outcome.
  • Strategic messaging — ability to synthesize complicated business information and make it meaningful, digestible, and audience-specific.
  • Executive ghostwriting — experience writing in someone else's voice with accuracy and authenticity.
  • Presentation and delivery coaching — demonstrated ability to prepare and coach executives for live presentations, video, podcasts, and media interviews.
  • Creative direction — experience developing creative briefs and directing designers, video producers, and outside agencies.
  • Relationship and trust building — ability to earn the confidence of senior executives and work as a trusted advisor, not just a vendor.
  • Organizational skills and self-direction — ability to manage multiple high-priority communications simultaneously in a fast-moving environment.
  • Extreme proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communication, Speech Communication, Journalism, English, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, with a demonstrated focus on executive communications and strategic messaging.
  • Proven experience developing and executing communications for B2B audiences in manufacturing industries — not just internal or consumer communications.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing, advanced technology, defense, government contracting, or industrial sectors preferred.
  • Experience translating complex business strategy, technology, or operational capabilities into compelling audience-specific narratives.
  • Track record of coaching senior executives on presentation delivery, and high-stakes communications.
  • Background supporting a large, distributed, or global organization with multiple stakeholder audiences preferred.
  • Experience building or managing a messaging/narrative system — core messaging frameworks, proof point libraries, and repeatable content tools.
  • Experience collaborating with or directing outside agencies, designers, and video production teams.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This role is primarily office-based with flexibility for hybrid arrangements. Occasional travel may be required to support strategy sessions, executive briefings, or high-priority customer and government engagements.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Standard office environment. Occasional travel by air or ground transportation.

SAFETY AND POLICY PRACTICES:

Each employee must be knowledgeable of standard safety policies and procedures and adhere to the same while supporting the goals and objectives of the organization and recognizing the Company’s need to achieve its business objectives. Each employee is responsible for complying with company hazardous waste disposal procedures.
