Description

The Children's Home of Pittsburgh is seeking a Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor. We are currently looking for a dynamic therapist, passionate about working with children, teens, and their families, with availability to work a minimum of two evenings and/or Saturday as part of a regular schedule. The Licensed Mental Health Counselor will be able to work as part of a counseling team and be supported through regular counseling treatment team meetings or supervision. This position serves both in person and telehealth clients.   

  • Experience working with children with a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, foster care or adoption.
  • Must have LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or LSW or LAPC who is within one year of obtaining full clinical licensure. Supervision towards licensure can be provided. 
  • Must practice from a trauma informed lens
  • Must have evening and/or Saturday availability.

Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field, required.
  • Current, active, PA clinical license (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) or licensure (LSW, LAPC) with ability to obtain clinical licensure within first year of hire required. 
  • Minimum of one year experience in clinical work with children required.
  • Strong knowledge of mental health conditions and evidence based therapeutic interventions for treatment required.
  • Strong knowledge of the impact of trauma and trauma informed interventions required. 
  • Strong ability to build rapport with and communicate with all clients, regardless of age, preferred gender, sexual orientation, or other belief systems required.  
  • Experience working with children with a range of concerns including stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, loss, foster care or adoption preferred. 
Salary Description
$70,000-$84,000 per year
