About the Role:
Provides quality assurance and testing support across the POTS development, maintenance, modernization, integration, and release lifecycle. Ensures that software, documentation, deliverables, and services meet functional, technical, security, accessibility, and performance requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the project test strategy, test plans, test cases, traceability matrices, and test reports.
- Validate requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria for completeness and testability.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, interface, API, database, browser, mobile, usability, and accessibility testing.
- Support automated test development and integration into CI/CD pipelines.
- Record, prioritize, track, retest, and report defects through closure.
- Validate production fixes, releases, enhancements, and modernization activities.
- Test interfaces with NBS, NED, nVision, ServiceNow, DMS, and third-party applications.
- Verify compliance with Section 508, security, privacy, and customer technical requirements.
- Monitor quality trends, defect leakage, rework, test coverage, and release readiness.
- Support development and maintenance of the Quality Assurance Plan and project quality metrics.
- Confirm deliverables satisfy defined acceptance criteria before Government submission.
Required Professional Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of software quality assurance and testing experience.
- Experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, functional testing, regression testing, integration testing, system testing, user acceptance testing support, defect tracking, and automated testing.
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, databases, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments and using defect-management and DevOps tools.
- Strong documentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Professional Skills:
- Experience testing Federal procurement, financial, or workflow-management systems.
- Experience with Section 508 accessibility testing and remediation validation.
- Familiarity with performance, security, usability, compatibility, and mobile-responsive testing.
- Experience validating SLA metrics, availability, incident response, and deliverable acceptance criteria.
- Experience supporting QAP, QASP, ATO, or Federal compliance artifacts.
- ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA, or Section 508 Trusted Tester certification.
