Objective
The Product Development Specialist will execute formulation research, ingredient evaluation, and process development for new and existing products while supporting quality improvements, manufacturing optimization, and operational initiatives through cross-functional collaboration.

Essential Responsibilities
- Manage projects, by coordinating internal resources, third party vendors, and cross-functional teams, to execute efficient results delivered on-time and within budget.
- Maintain oversight of formulation preparation workspaces and associated equipment, ensuring proper organization, cleanliness, maintenance, calibration, and compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards to support accurate and efficient product development activities.
- Construct and analyze laboratory benchtop samples in support of multiple beverage innovation initiatives.
- Batch, package and ship beverage innovation samples to support development progression and sensory approval timelines.
- Partner with other departments and teams to work cross-functionally on strategies for product development.
- Direct the appropriate in-house and third-party testing of innovation products and ingredients for compliance needs.
- Evaluate and make recommendations concerning the application of new ingredient/processing technologies.
- Collaborate with key suppliers, including travel for on-site evaluation and tradeshows.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Minimum of 3 years commercial experience in Beverage Industry and Product Development
- Experience in sensory science and beverage technology
- Project management knowledge
- Quality assurance and Quality control experience
- Well-developed sensory skills for tasting and evaluating spirits
- Strong scientific knowledge
- Excellent communication skills and public speaking skills
- Must be very methodical, logical and detail orientated
- Proficient in Excel, SAP, PowerPoint
- Strong computer and mathematical skills
