Description
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision makers within designated strategic target accounts to retain and profitably grow sales.
- Conduct regular domestic travel for customer engagements in Industrial environments, strategic events, and executive meetings across North America, including occasional meetings in Europe or at headquarters in Germany resulting in min 50% travel annually.
- Leverage technical product expertise when translating customer needs into clear specifications of the opportunity in collaboration with internal sales, application engineering, and operations teams.
- Represent Customer's needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.
- Document customer engagements, opportunities, contacts, success reports, and activity in CRM.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
- Ability & desire to work with customers, translating needs into products and solutions.
- An outgoing energetic personality that enjoys and is comfortable building new customer relationships.
- Entrepreneurial mindset who enjoys working in a small start up within a larger company
- At least five (5) years of industrial automation experience in a sales or technical sales role.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and presentation skills with the ability to create highly effective outreach, engage senior decision-makers, and uncover customer pain points in a capital equipment market.
- Experience in business development with demonstrated ability to drive sales performance, manage customer relationships, and influence cross-functional teams.
- Experience selling or supporting technical products, automation systems, or operational technology.
- Knowledge of industrial manufacturing environments.
