Primary Purpose:

Ensures accurate receiving, reconciliation, and reporting of inventory to support yard operations and customer service across the Boise and Caldwell branches. Assists with stocking store products, cycle counting for the Caldwell location, and maintaining workplace organization.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against packing slips or purchase orders.
  • Unload, inspect, and stock materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks (certification required for equipment operation).
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and regular stock checks.
  • Label, sort, and organize products for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Identify and report inventory discrepancies, damages, or shortages.
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Assist with inventory audits and physical stock counts.
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS), handheld scanners, and other technology to track inventory movement.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet productivity goals.
  • Adhere to company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Additional Duties:

  • Process returns and damaged goods.
  • Replenish picking locations from reserve stock.
  • Monitor stock levels and notify management of low inventory.
  • Assist with warehouse projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior warehouse, inventory, or retail stocking experience preferred.
  • Forklift certification a plus, or willingness to obtain certification.
  • Basic computer skills and comfort using inventory/WMS systems and scanners.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move materials, typically up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment (forklift, pallet jack) as required.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a warehouse/yard environment, with potential exposure to varying temperatures, dust, and noise.
  • Some travel between the Boise and Caldwell branches may be required.
