Job Summary: Assists in the daily function of the purchasing duties.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Adheres to all PRH and CSDC policies and procedures, and the Center Operating Procedures.
- Posts and maintains purchasing orders which may require follow-up. Prepares modifications to purchase orders as necessary.
- Prepares appropriate purchase requisitions for approval.
- Prepares PRL’s and ITARB’s as needed for purchases.
- Contacts vendors regarding delivery dates, pricing updates and availability of products under the direction of the Administrative Servies Director.
- Contacts vendors regarding routine problems related to variances in product orders to products received.
- Reviews balances on Blanket Purchase Agreements daily to ensure charges do not exceed terms of agreement.
- Maintains computer listing of vendors and records all purchases.
- Attends staff training sessions as required.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum: High school graduate or equivalent. Six months’ experience in a purchasing department.
Preferred: Associates degree. Two years’ experience in related field.
Knowledge: Good communication skills, both oral and written. Strong organizational skills. Ability to operate a personal computer. Ability to learn company software systems.
