Location: 5 days per week in Brighton, MA office

Position Summary 

The Kitchen Coordinator is responsible for daily culinary service activities including preparing high-quality meals, delivering exceptional customer service, and ensuring smooth day-to-day kitchen operations upheld by consistently following best practices in food and occupational safety. The Kitchen Coordinator collaborates closely with the Chef Operations Manager to maintain inventory, coordinate vendor orders, and support special events and operational needs while maintaining BrightonOne's commitment to exceptional hospitality, quality, and service. 


Key Responsibilities 


Kitchen Operations 

  • Perform opening and closing duties including equipment checks and kitchen readiness to ensure smooth daily operations.  
  • Prepare menu items, daily specials, and catered meals according to established recipes and quality standards. 
  • Assist with coordinating daily kitchen operations to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service. 
  • Coordinate catering orders, including production schedules, set up, delivery and post event follow up. 

Inventory & Vendor Management  

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding product availability and order fulfillment. 
  • Receive, inspect, and organize incoming food and supply deliveries. 
  • Monitor and manage food and supply inventory, proactively ensuring appropriate stock levels are maintained to maximize efficiency. 
  • Track and support key operational metrics, including food waste, inventory accuracy, service standards, and customer satisfaction. 

Customer Service Operations 

  • Provide a welcoming and positive experience for guests through outstanding customer service. 
  • Engage with guest requests and work collaboratively with team members to ensure a high-quality experience. 
  • Ensure catering events are executed according to client requirements and quality standards. 
  • Collaborate with team members to adapt and develop menu offerings.  

Food Safety & Compliance 

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food safety, sanitation, and OSHA regulations.  
  • Ensure food handling, storage, and preparation best practices are consistently followed  
  • Follow all organizational policies, safety procedures, and applicable health regulations. 
  • Monitor kitchen equipment performance and report maintenance or repair needs promptly. 
  • Perform additional duties as assigned. 

Qualifications 


Education & Experience 

  • High school diploma or GED required. 
  • 3 or more years of professional kitchen or food service experience required.  
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing hospitality or food service role required.  
  • Previous experience in Inventory management preferred. 
  • Experience working with POS systems (i.e. Square).  

Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations 

  • Valid driver's license required. 
  • ServSafe Certification preferred. 

Skills & Competencies 

  • Proven culinary knowledge and food preparation skills. 
  • High attention to detail and commitment to food quality. 
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and safe food handling practices. 
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Initiative to identify process improvements. 

Physical Nature of the Job 

This is a physically active role primarily in a commercial kitchen and food service environment. This requires standing for extended periods of time and routinely lifting, pushing, and pulling items weighing up to 50–75 lbs autonomously.

Salary Description
