The Procurement Professionals Alliance (PPA) is looking for a Conferences & Events Coordinator to help plan and execute conferences, leadership programs, and special events that connect and inspire procurement professionals from across the country.

Working alongside our Conferences & Events Director, you'll coordinate everything from venue sourcing and speaker logistics to registration, event technology, on-site execution, and post-event evaluation. Whether it's a small leadership meeting or a large national conference, you'll play a key role in delivering memorable experiences for our members.


What You'll Do

  • Coordinate the planning and logistics for conferences, meetings, and special events. 
  • Support planning committees by organizing meetings, agendas, minutes, and project timelines. 
  • Coordinate venues, lodging, food and beverage, transportation, audiovisual services, event technology, and on-site logistics. 
  • Assist with keynote and breakout session speaker recruitment and coordination. 
  • Manage conference registration and attendee communications. 
  • Partner with vendors, exhibitors, hotels, and service providers to ensure successful event execution. 
  • Coordinate promotional items, event materials, shipping, and inventory. 
  • Support on-site event operations, troubleshooting, and attendee experience. 
  • Help evaluate event success and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. 
Requirements

 Job Requirements

  • Two or more years of professional conference or event planning experience. 
  • Experience coordinating conferences or events in a nonprofit, association, educational, or government environment preferred. 
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • A collaborative mindset and passion for creating outstanding event experiences. 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred. 
  • Ability to obtain Cvent Event Management, Attendee Hub, and Venue Sourcing certifications within six months of hire.
