RN Weekend Supervisor - Nights!
Description

We are looking for a compassionate and organized RN Weekend Supervisor to join our team! The RN Weekend Supervisor will be responsible for supervision of various levels of care throughout the Galloway Ridge community, including administrative tasks. They will assess resident needs, administer care as required, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate nursing care given. you will also supervise RN's, LPN's, CNA's, and other personnel in the deliver of care across all of campus. You will also be asked to administer medications, perform physical assessments, complete treatments and procedures, obtain specimen as needed, and complete documentation. You will be working closely with the Director of Nursing to seek clarification when needed. 


This position will be Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 7:00 pm - 7:00 am.



Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


  • Resident Focused Responsibilities:  Adheres to resident rights. Interviews the resident/responsible party to obtain information required for developing and ammending plan of care. Addresses any concerns voiced immediately and documents on proper forms for interdisciplinary team to review and follow as indicated. Responds to emergency calls throughout the Galloway Ridge community, including Independent Living neighborhoods and responds to resident call system promptly and courteously to provide assistance. Identifies resident needs and provides input for admission, transfers, discharge planning and follow-up throughout length of stay. Keeps physicians/healthcare professionals informed of residents’ condition. Notifies physician/healthcare professionals immediately of significant condition changes. Reports critical information to Clinical Care Coordinators and the Director of Nursing (DON). Prepares reports, keeps DON informed of the operations of assigned unit/facility. 
  • Administrative Responsibilities: Assists the DON with orienting, scheduling, assignments, evaluating, and when necessary counsels staff members, and collaborates with DON to provide performance feedback as an alternate for the DON.  Participates in orientation and training of new employees to ensure proper introduction to Galloway Ridge policies and procedures. Engages in teaching and learning opportunities to support staff development and success. Determine department staffing levels that promote high-quality services and ensure adequate staffing to meet resident care needs. Receives staff call-outs and updates schedules accordingly, working to secure appropriate replacement coverage. Reassigns staff as needed and assists in direct care when necessary to support equitable workload distribution. Participates in quality improvement efforts through audits, performance rounds, and reporting to evaluate current processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Ensures staff document and report incidents thoroughly in PCC and communicates incidents to the DON. 
  • All other duties assigned include, but not limited to, enhancing the Resident Experience. 



Requirements
  • Associates Degree 
  • Active RN License in the state of North Carolina
  • Knowledge of Federal and State regulations. Follows facility policy and procedures, and standards of NC nurse practice act. 
  • Ability to supervise and coordinate nursing staff. Minimum 1-2 years supervisory experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Long term care experience. 
  • Mathematical and reasoning skills.

Salary Description
$39.88-$46.17/hour, based on years of experience
