The HR Manager is responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization. This role includes managing all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, compensation, benefits, performance management, and training and development. This position serves as the primary HR contact and must be comfortable operating independently, with a balance of strategic vision and hands-on HR management. Works closely with top executives to shape company culture, drive engagement initiatives, and foster a positive work environment.

Requirements

  

Recruitment, Staffing, and Separations:

· Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job posting, screening, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.

· Develop and maintain job descriptions and collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs.

· Oversee background checks and prepare offer letters and employment contracts.


Employee Relations:

· Act as the point of contact for employee concerns, facilitating resolutions while promoting a positive workplace culture.

· Mediate conflicts and provide guidance to managers and employees on resolving workplace issues.

· Ensure compliance with company policies and provide support on employee engagement and retention.


Compliance & Legal:

· Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including wage and hour laws, anti-discrimination laws, and health and safety regulations.

· Develop, update, and enforce HR policies and procedures to ensure alignment with legal requirements and best practices.


Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits:

· Oversee employee compensation structures, performance reviews, and salary adjustments.

· Manage benefits programs (health insurance, retirement plans, etc.) and ensure timely enrollment, compliance, and communication with employees.

· Administer employee benefits and handle enrollment, claims, and compliance, including COBRA and FMLA.

· Manage 401k program and ensure timely enrollment, compliance, and communications with employees and 401k Administrator.

· Implement and maintain performance management processes, including regular evaluations, goal-setting, and feedback.

· Support managers in providing guidance and coaching to their teams.

· Drive initiatives to support career development and growth.


Training & Development:

· Provides guidance and oversight to managers and staff, ensuring alignment with HR strategy and company objectives.

· Identify training needs across the organization and coordinate professional development opportunities.

· Ensure compliance-related training, such as anti-harassment and safety, is completed and recorded.

· Develop and conduct training sessions as needed.


HR Strategy & Planning:

· Align HR strategy with organizational goals, including workforce planning, succession planning, and talent development.

· Advise the leadership team on HR trends, risks, and opportunities, contributing to long-term strategy.

· Utilizes data to make strategic decisions about workforce planning, turnover, and employee engagement to optimize HR strategies.


HR Administration:

· Designs and updates HR policies, ensuring they reflect the company’s goals, culture, and compliance needs.

· Sets and manages the HR budget, identifying areas for investment in employee benefits, training, and development.

· Maintain employee records, track timekeeping, vacation, and sick leave.

· Manage day-to-day HR administrative functions, including reporting and tracking of metrics.

· Point of Contact for the HRIS System (Paylocity)


Health & Safety:

· Develop and maintain safety protocols in compliance with OSHA and other regulations.

· Address workplace injuries and safety concerns and ensure preventive measures are in place.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 7+ years of HR experience, including in roles with significant responsibility and independence; HR management experience is      preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR practices, compliance, and employment laws.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and handle sensitive situations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and balance strategic and operational tasks.
  • HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.

Salary Description
$110,000 - $150,000
