MG-IP Law, P.C. (Muncy, Geissler, Olds & Lowe, P.C.) is currently seeking a full-time IP Assistant to support its Intellectual Property practice. This is a fully remote position offering the opportunity to work with a collaborative and experienced team.
Job duties include many aspects of patent prosecution from filing to issue, including docketing, billing, client correspondence, status checks, and preparing and filing documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Document submissions include, but are not limited to, new utility, design, provisional, and plant applications, original and supplemental application data sheets, recordation of assignments and other document affecting ownership, declarations, powers of attorney, chain of title forms, priority documents, information disclosure statements, preliminary amendments, sequence listings, English translations, responses to pre-examination and post-allowance formalities notices, requests for corrected Official Filing Receipts, corrective assignments, issue fees, responses to Office Actions, terminal disclaimers, extensions of time, requests for continued examination, continued prosecution applications, notices of appeal, appeal briefs, reply briefs, requests for certificate of corrections, various petitions, maintenance fees, and other types of documents on an as-needed basis. Job duties also include obtaining IDS references from available online databases, and proofreading and formatting work generated by attorneys, patent agents, and technical advisors.

Applicants must possess the following skills:
- 2 years of general IP experience, highly preferred.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Strong organizational and writing skills.
- Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-volume environment.
- Sufficiently computer literate and capable in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet Explorer. Microsoft Excel is a plus.
- Must be able to lift/carry at least 20 lbs.
Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED certificate. A college degree is a plus.
Training will be provided for PerfectLaw, EFS, EPAS, CTS, and other programs used by our office.
