Description
This position will report into the Residential Equipment Purchasing Department.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, execute, and manage purchase orders for residential equipment.
- Maintain balanced inventory while staying within a given budget across 21 warehouses companywide for assigned product families.
- Analyze sales trends, historical data, and seasonal demand to develop accurate forecasting and replenishment plans
- Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Evaluate supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings
- Coordinate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure timely receipt and processing of inbound shipments
- Resolve discrepancies related to purchase orders, invoices, and deliveries
- Maintain accurate records in the ERP system
- Generate and review purchasing and inventory reports for management review
- Support sales staff with product availability, lead time, and sourcing inquiries
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain or business
- Prior purchasing, procurement, or inventory planning experience preferred
- Analytical thought processing
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to negotiate
- ERP / MRP Experience preferred
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments
