O Bee Credit Union is hiring a short-term IT Intern to join our amazing team. This is a part-time, seasonal role that plays a vital part in supporting our mission, our members, and our one-of-a-kind company culture.
What You’ll Do:
As our IT Intern, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the technology needs of O Bee Credit Union employees. You'll assist with technical support, hardware and software deployments, technology inventory management, and troubleshooting while learning industry best practices from an experienced IT team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in a professional environment.
The Details:
- Location: Lacey, WA
- Duration: About a month in mid-September to mid-October, with an option to extend as needed.
- Schedule: Part-time (approximately 2 days a week, about 16 hours a week).
- Pay: $1,500 monthly stipend.

Responsibilities:
- Review and maintain IT asset inventory.
- Test, configure, deploy, and update computers and other IT hardware.
- Set up user devices, configure settings, and install software.
- Provide first-level technical support to employees.
- Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Document support requests and resolutions.
- Assist with workstation deployments and equipment refresh projects.
- Create and maintain support ticket documentation in accordance with departmental procedures.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff as needed.

- Must have high school diploma or equivalent. Current enrollment in a degree, certificate, or vocational program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.

- Ability to follow documented steps to identify and resolve basic technical issues.
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn software installation using PowerShell.
- Ability to identify common computer ports, cables, peripherals, and workstation connections.
