Position Overview
Ice Solutions is seeking a results-driven Logistics Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of the company's supply chain, warehousing, inventory management, transportation, and distribution operations. This leader will play a critical role in ensuring raw materials and finished products move safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively through our manufacturing and bottling facilities while supporting aggressive growth objectives.
The Logistics Manager is responsible for developing scalable processes, driving continuous improvement initiatives, maximizing inventory accuracy, reducing operating costs, and ensuring exceptional service levels for both internal and external customers. This position works cross-functionally with Production, Procurement, Sales, Customer Service, Quality, and Operations Leadership to ensure uninterrupted production and on-time product delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all logistics, warehousing, inventory, transportation, and distribution operations across manufacturing and bottling facilities.
- Develop and execute logistics strategies that improve operational efficiency, increase throughput, and support company growth.
- Partner with Production and Manufacturing teams to align production schedules with inventory availability, transportation capacity, and customer demand.
- Oversee purchasing logistics and inbound material flow to ensure uninterrupted production while minimizing inventory carrying costs.
- Establish and maintain inventory control processes that ensure high levels of inventory accuracy for raw materials, packaging components, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Manage warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, order fulfillment, cycle counts, shipping, and inventory reconciliation.
- Optimize warehouse layouts, material flow, storage utilization, and transportation networks to maximize efficiency and reduce operating expenses.
- Monitor key supply chain metrics including inventory turns, order accuracy, freight costs, on-time delivery, warehouse productivity, and overall logistics performance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements through Lean principles, automation, technology, and best practices.
- Lead carrier selection, freight negotiations, and performance management to ensure competitive pricing and exceptional service.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transportation providers, and third-party logistics (3PL) partners.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, environmental regulations, quality standards, and company safety policies.
- Develop contingency plans to minimize supply chain disruptions and maintain business continuity.
- Prepare operational reports, forecasts, and executive-level KPI dashboards for leadership.
- Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable warehouse and logistics personnel while fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning related to logistics operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- 3 – 5 years of progressive logistics, warehousing, or supply chain leadership experience within manufacturing, chemical processing, or bottling operations.
- Demonstrated success managing high-volume, fast-paced production and distribution environments.
- Strong knowledge of ERP systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory control methodologies, and transportation management practices.
- Experience with demand planning, production scheduling, procurement coordination, and inventory optimization.
- Proven ability to analyze data, develop KPIs, and use metrics to drive operational improvements.
- Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and logistics reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in liquids manufacturing, industrial liquids, beverage, food processing, or pharmaceutical bottling operations.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, APICS (CPIM or CSCP), or other supply chain certification.
- Knowledge of liquids material transportation and storage requirements.
- Experience managing multi-site warehouse and distribution operations.
- Familiarity with OSHA, DOT, EPA, FDA, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
