JOB SUMMARY:
The Research Services Specialist is responsible for providing exceptional technical and operational support for jury consulting research projects, including focus groups, mock trials, and other litigation consulting engagements. Working closely with the Jury Consulting and Trial Presentation teams, this role ensures the successful planning, coordination, setup, operation, and maintenance of audiovisual, data collection, and presentation technology used during research events.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically proficient, proactive, and client-focused, with strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills. This position requires frequent travel and the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high standard of quality and professionalism.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Research Project Support
- Coordinate and execute all audiovisual and technical setups for jury consulting research projects, including focus groups, mock trials, and other litigation consulting engagements
- Travel to project locations to install, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot audiovisual and presentation equipment throughout research events
- Partner with Jury Consulting and Trial Presentation teams to ensure seamless execution of all technical components before, during, and after each project
- Coordinate the shipping, tracking, inventory, and return of audiovisual equipment and project materials
Equipment Management
- Test, configure, troubleshoot, maintain, and inventory presentation equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
- Monitor equipment inventory, storage locations, and maintenance schedules
- Identify equipment issues and advances proactively and recommend solutions or replacements to upgrade client experience and minimize downtime
Project Coordination
- Manage multiple research projects simultaneously, ensuring timelines, logistics, and technical requirements are met
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate project schedules, equipment needs, travel arrangements, and resource allocation
- Maintain detailed project documentation, equipment records, and post-project reporting
- Continuously evaluate processes and recommend improvements that enhance operational efficiency and service quality
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Strong knowledge of audiovisual presentation technology, including equipment setup, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent priorities and meet critical deadlines
- Exceptional client service skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a proactive, solutions-oriented approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative, accountability, and follow-through with minimal supervision.

EDUCATION AND TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree or equivalent professional experience required; bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of three years of experience in audiovisual presentation services, event technology, technical operations, or a related field
- Experience managing projects, coordinating logistics, and supporting client-facing events preferred
- Legal, litigation consulting, or professional services experience is a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote
LOCATION:
- This position is 100% remote and supports east to west coast time zones
