The VC Analyst role is embedded alongside the Executive Director and Associate, driving deal execution across investment memos, diligence, pitch preparation, and investor communications. A secondary responsibility of the role is dedicated to the full ownership of a defined set of back-office functions, complemented by ad hoc support to help resolve bottlenecks as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and Associate of VC to construct, refine, and iterate on investment decks and presentation materials, tailoring content and narrative for internal review, investment committee discussions, and limited partner audiences.
- Conduct rigorous due diligence on prospective investments by assisting in market research, benchmarking comparable companies, performing reference checks, and thoroughly reviewing data rooms to validate investment theses.
- Draft, edit, and polish investor updates, quarterly and annual reports, and other limited partner communications, translating portfolio and fund performance into clear, compelling narratives.
- Take full, end-to-end ownership of entity formation and maintenance, including opening new entities, establishing corresponding bank accounts, and keeping the entity organizational chart accurate and current as the fund's structure evolves.
- Aggregate and assemble offering documents including the preparation of MW templatized documents and creation/population/management of virtual data rooms (VDRs).
- Manage all third-party portal access ensuring investors and internal stakeholders have timely and accurate access to the information they need.
- Facilitate the dissemination of offering documents to investors and other relevant stakeholders, stepping in as needed to keep this process moving without delay.
- Maintain and continuously update the investor tracker and investor distribution lists, while assisting in disseminating pertinent LP communications (distribution notices, deal closures, investor updates, etc.).
- Serve as ad hoc resource for the Operations team more broadly, ready to step in and resolve bottlenecks across any of the functions above.
