Locum Tenens General Dentist (Maternity Leave Coverage)

Paris, Kentucky | November 2026 Start | 10-12 Week Assignment

We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Locum Tenens General Dentist to provide maternity leave coverage at our established and thriving dental practice in Paris, Kentucky. This temporary opportunity begins November 2026 and is expected to last 10-12 weeks.

This is an excellent opportunity for a dentist looking for a short-term assignment with a supportive clinical team, modern technology, and an established patient base.

Schedule

  • 3-4 clinical days per week
  • Assignment begins November 2026
  • Expected duration: 10-12 weeks

Compensation

  • $900-$1,200 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
  • Compensation is negotiable for the right candidate

What You'll Do

  • Deliver comprehensive general dentistry in a well-established practice
  • Diagnose and treat patients using evidence-based clinical protocols
  • Perform restorative, crown and bridge, emergency, and preventative procedures
  • Collaborate with an experienced hygiene team to promote exceptional periodontal health
  • Build trust with patients while maintaining high standards of clinical care and customer service
  • Ensure accurate clinical documentation and compliance with all regulatory standards

Requirements

 Ideal CandidateWe're looking for a dentist who is clinically confident, efficient, and committed to providing outstanding patient care. The ideal candidate will have:

  • Active Kentucky dental license (or ability to obtain one prior to start)
  • DDS or DMD degree from an accredited dental school
  • Strong experience in comprehensive general dentistry
  • CEREC training and experience with same-day restorative workflows
  • A strong understanding of periodontal diagnosis and treatment, with a commitment to building and maintaining a healthy hygiene/perio culture
  • Excellent communication and patient relationship skills
  • Ability to integrate quickly into an established clinical team
