As an Assembler II you will perform assembly operations to produce geotechnical instrumentation. You will assemble products using a variety of tools and equipment according to required specifications in a timely and efficient manner that meets specified quality standards.
- Works with minimal assistance or oversite in the building of subassembly and finished goods.
- Able to read, comprehend, and follow basic blueprints, diagrams, engineering drawings and work instructions.
- Perform all work in accordance with time standards while maintaining quality standards and safety procedures.
- Cable preparation; including stripping, tinning and labeling.
- Assemble using hand tools and power tools.
- Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV and other compounds.
- Work with various sized materials.
- Solder and assemble various components.
- Trouble shoot errors or failures in product quality and process outputs. Notify trainer/technician when problems cannot be resolved.
- Handling of sensitive materials and equipment.
- Maintain equipment and a clean and safe work environment.
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Identifies low inventory and communicates appropriate.
- Begins to rework assembled products according to specifications and verbal instructions.
- Setup and use test equipment to record, compile and evaluate data.
- Train, mentor and inspect the work of others as needed with leader direction.
- Perform related duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Assist in other functional areas when/if necessary.
Your Contributions
- High school diploma or equivalent 1 to 3 years of work experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written
- Ability to understand quality control principles
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
- Ability to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
- Ability to keep records of production quantities and time
- Ability to work well with others and within a team environment
- Willingness to switch tasks frequently
- Self-motivation skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work from written instructions and read and interpret documents such as operating instructions, procedure manuals, blueprints, and safety rules
- Soldering experience required.
