Position Overview
The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for safely delivering building materials to customers on regional and multi-stop routes. This role focuses on safe driving, accurate deliveries, and providing good customer service. Drivers are expected to follow DOT and FMCSA regulations, maintain equipment, and represent the company in a professional manner at all times.

Essential Functions
- Operate a Class A tractor-trailer safely and efficiently on assigned regional or multi-stop routes.
- Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety regulations, including Hours of Service requirements.
- Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report any equipment issues promptly.
- Keep assigned truck and trailer clean and in good working order.
- Deliver materials to customer locations on schedule and communicate any delivery issues to dispatch.
- Secure loads properly using approved tie-down methods and equipment.
- Verify load accuracy at each stop and obtain proper Proof of Delivery documentation.
- Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding pickups, deliveries, and route updates.
- Report accidents immediately and complete required documentation.
- Comply with all required DOT drug and alcohol testing guidelines.
- Provide courteous and professional service at delivery locations and help resolve basic delivery concerns when needed.
- Safely operate in various weather conditions, including proper use of tire chains when required.

Qualifications and Experience
- At least one (1) year of Class A CDL driving experience preferred.
- Valid Class A CDL with current medical certification.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record and ability to pass background screening.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position operates in a transportation and warehouse environment with regular driving responsibilities, including extended periods of sitting and continuous vehicle operation. The role requires standing, walking, climbing in and out of equipment, bending, reaching, and securing loads. Drivers are routinely exposed to outdoor weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, and varying road conditions. The employee must regularly see, hear, and communicate effectively, use hands and arms to operate controls and secure freight, and lift and move up to 50 pounds.
