Trout CPA is seeking an accomplished and entrepreneurial leader to serve as a Principal - Office Leader of our Mechanicsburg, PA office. This is a unique opportunity for a seasoned public accounting professional to combine leadership, business development, client service, and practice growth in a highly visible role.

 

In this role, you will have the opportunity to influence the future of the firm in one of our key growth markets. You'll work alongside a collaborative leadership team, develop talented professionals, deepen client relationships, and help drive strategic growth initiatives across the region.

What You'll Do

Lead & Inspire

  • Serve as the strategic and operational leader of the office.
  • Create a culture of collaboration, accountability, engagement, and excellence.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop managers and emerging leaders.
  • Champion Trout CPA's values and foster an exceptional employee experience.
  • Partner with firm leadership to shape and execute strategic initiatives.

Drive Growth & Market Presence

  • Develop and execute strategies to expand Trout CPA's presence throughout the Central PA market.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Audit, Tax, Advisory, and CAS service lines.
  • Leverage existing relationships while building new connections with business leaders, referral sources, and community organizations.
  • Represent Trout CPA at networking events, industry associations, and community functions.
  • Collaborate with leaders across the firm to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Build Trusted Client Relationships

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to key clients and prospects.
  • Maintain and grow an existing book of business.
  • Help clients solve complex business challenges through proactive guidance and insights.
  • Ensure an exceptional client experience that drives long-term loyalty and referrals.
  • Partner with engagement teams to deliver high-quality service and innovative solutions.

Develop Future Leaders

  • Build and strengthen the firm's leadership pipeline.
  • Create opportunities for team members to grow their technical, leadership, and business development skills.
  • Inspire professionals to reach their full potential while supporting their individual career goals.
Requirements

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 15+ years of progressive public accounting experience in Audit, Tax, Advisory, or a combination thereof.
  • Demonstrated success leading teams, offices, or practice groups.
  • Proven track record of business development and revenue growth.
  • Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Passion for developing people and mentoring future leaders.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding client service and fostering a positive workplace culture.

  • Experience leading a public accounting office, practice area, or significant business unit.
