Description

  

Summary:

Prepare balance sheets, profit, and loss statements, and other financial reports. Accountant duties and responsibilities also include analyzing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments. Reports organization's finances to management and files sales tax returns. Requires some college classes in accounting or an area of specialty and two to four years of experience in the field or in a related area. Must be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within accounting. Perform a variety of tasks. 

Requirements

  Qualifications:

·Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles

·Experience with creating financial statements

·Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

·Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

·Accuracy and attention to detail

·Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills

·Associates of Arts Degree in appropriate field of study and 2 to 4 years of experience

·Willingness to work additional hours outside of the normal work shift to ensure departmental goals are met


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

·Reconciling the company’s bank statements with bookkeeping ledgers 

·Completing analysis of the employee expenditures

·Record inter-company transactions and reconcile intercompany accounts

·Generating the company’s financial reports using ERP system

·Tracks, enters and maintains fixed assets in fixed asset software

·Files sales and use tax returns

·Performs substantial amount of journal entries for monthly and year end close

·Performs all account reconciliations monthly or quarterly as needed

·Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions

  · This is an onsite position

· Must be a US Person for DoD purposes

· No relocation available
