Job Description:

We are seeking a highly professional and experienced Senior Analyst who is both technically skilled and strategically minded to join our team. This individual will own the Member Growth Analytics scope, sitting at the intersection of Product, Marketing, Operations, and Analytics to understand how members engage with First Stop Health and identify the highest-impact opportunities to improve the member experience.

The Senior Analyst will use data to uncover friction in the member journey, identify opportunities for innovation, evaluate the effectiveness of new initiatives, and inform strategic decisions that improve member engagement and health outcomes. Success in this role requires curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to operate in ambiguity, using the best available information to drive decisions while continuously improving our data and analytical capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical and technical skills with experience in product analytics, growth analytics, or customer journey analytics. They are comfortable independently querying, analyzing, and synthesizing large datasets using SQL, Python (or a similar analytical programming language), and modern business intelligence tools to answer complex business questions. Most importantly, they translate complex analyses into clear, actionable recommendations that improve the member lifecycle and influence business decisions.

Responsibilities:

Member Lifecycle Analytics & Strategic Insights

  • Develop a deep understanding of the end-to-end member lifecycle, analyzing how members engage from eligibility through ongoing care
  • Identify the highest-leverage opportunities to improve member engagement by analyzing member behavior, uncovering friction throughout the lifecycle, and translating insights into actionable recommendations that shape product, marketing, and operational priorities
  • Ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions, and uncover opportunities that may not be immediately obvious through standard reporting

Growth Measurement & Experimentation

  • Partner closely with cross-functional leaders to define success metrics and measurement strategies for new initiatives
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of product enhancements, engagement campaigns, operational improvements, and member experience initiatives, helping teams understand what changed, why it changed, and whether to scale, iterate, or pivot
  • Support a culture of experimentation by identifying opportunities to test new ideas and continuously improve the member lifecycle

Ownership & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Own and professionally manage the Member Growth Analytics scope, driving prioritization based on strategic business objectives and member engagement goals
  • Serve as the primary analytics partner for cross-functional Member Experience initiatives and working groups, collaborating closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, and executive stakeholders
  • Ensure projects are effectively scoped, professionally managed, and consistently delivered on time, providing proactive communication on priorities, progress, and risks

Analytical Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Thrive in an evolving environment, using sound judgment to answer important questions even when data, processes, or requirements are imperfect
  • Balance analytical rigor with pragmatism, identifying the best available approach while clearly communicating assumptions, limitations, and opportunities for further investigation
  • Partner closely with Product and Data Engineering to recommend enhancements to data collection, instrumentation, metric definitions, and analytical processes that improve our ability to understand and optimize the member lifecycle

Requirements:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline required

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in product analytics, growth analytics, business intelligence, customer journey analytics, marketing analytics, or similar analytical roles
  • Experience partnering closely with Product, Marketing and Operations teams to influence strategic business decisions
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing customer or member behavior, conversion funnels, engagement, retention, product adoption, or other lifecycle metrics
  • Experience measuring product features, marketing initiatives, experiments, or customer engagement strategies to inform future investment decisions
  • Familiarity with healthcare analytics or experience in a healthcare-related industry preferred

Skills:

  • Advanced analytical and technical skills, including proficiency with SQL, experience using Python (or a similar analytical programming language), and modern business intelligence tools to perform sophisticated analyses
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
  • Strong analytical reasoning, including the ability to define success metrics, design measurement approaches, evaluate initiatives, and identify the underlying drivers of business performance
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex analyses clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to recognize data integrity issues and partner on improvements to data quality, instrumentation, and reporting capabilities
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with the ability to synthesize imperfect information, develop thoughtful hypotheses, and provide actionable recommendations without waiting for perfect data
