The Medical Education Manager is responsible for developing and executing healthcare professional and medical device fitter education programs that advance evidence-based management of lymphedema, chronic venous disease, lipedema, and related edema conditions through the appropriate use of compression therapy solutions. This role serves as clinical and scientific resource for internal and external stakeholders and collaborates with clinical experts, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality educational initiatives that improve patient outcomes and support the adoption of best practices in compression therapy. The position plays a critical role in strengthening the organization's reputation as a trusted clinical partner by providing scientifically balanced education to health care providers (HCPs) including lymphedema therapists, physical and occupational therapists, wound care specialists, vascular clinicians, nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals and medical device fitters.
Partnering closely with the Senior Commercial Director, Product Management, Marketing and existing Sales Team and Sales Training department, this role is critical to building the program capabilities. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Medical Education Strategy:
o Develop and implement a comprehensive medical education strategy focused on lymphedema, lipedema, chronic venous insufficiency, wound management, and compression therapy.
o Identify clinical knowledge gaps and emerging educational needs among healthcare professionals.
o Align educational initiatives with organizational objectives, clinical evidence, and evolving standards of care.
o Support product lifecycle management and new product launches through educational planning and execution.
• Clinical Content Development:
o Create and maintain scientifically accurate educational materials, presentations, clinical guides, case studies, webinars, and digital learning content.
o Translate clinical research and evidence into practical educational resources for healthcare providers.
o Ensure all educational content reflects current clinical guidelines, consensus statements, and best practices in lymphedema and compression management.
o Collaborate with internal subject matter experts to develop training materials for both external and internal audiences.
• Healthcare Professional Education:
o Lead the development and execution of educational programs for: Certified Lymphedema Therapists (CLTs), Physical and Occupational Therapists, Wound Care Specialists, Vascular Surgeons and Vascular Medicine Providers, Dermatologists, Oncology Rehabilitation Professionals, Nurses and Advanced Practice Providers, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Providers.
o Manager workshops, clinical training programs, symposiums, webinars, and conference education activities.
o Support continuing education initiatives and partnerships with professional organizations where appropriate.
• Key Opinion Leader (KOL) Engagement:
o Establish and maintain relationships with recognized experts in lymphedema, vascular disease, wound care, rehabilitation, and compression therapy.
o Identify and develop faculty for speaker programs, educational events, and advisory boards.
o Facilitate scientific exchange and gather clinical insights to inform educational strategy.
• Clinical Evidence & Scientific Communication:
o Monitor and communicate emerging clinical evidence, treatment guidelines, and industry trends.
o Support publication planning, congress activities, and dissemination of scientific data.
o Provides scientific and clinical expertise for educational and training initiatives.
o Assist in the interpretation and communication of clinical outcomes data related to compression therapy.
• Program Measurement & Evaluation:
o Establish metrics to evaluate educational program effectiveness and learner outcomes.
o Analyze participant feedback and educational impact.
o Recommend improvements based on outcomes, market trends, and stakeholder input.
o Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) - Number and quality of healthcare professional education programs delivered, Learner satisfaction and educational outcomes, Growth and engagement of KOL network, Clinical content development and deployment timelines, Internal training effectiveness, Conference and congress education impact, Adoption of evidence-based compression therapy practices.
• Operational Excellence & Accountability:
o Maintain accurate reporting and tracking of key business metrics.
o Ensure accountability to global, national and regional goals and organizational objectives.
o Drive continuous improvement in processes and execution.
• Communication & Professionalism:
o Demonstrate exceptional communication skills across all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders.

• Compliance & Quality Standards:
o Ensure full compliance with SIGVARIS policies, FDA, ISO 13485 standards, and all applicable laws and regulations. Support and uphold the SIGVARIS Quality System and Quality Policy.
EDUCATION and/or WORK EXPERIENCE:
• BS required in related clinical field plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience in medical education, clinical education, medical affairs, rehabilitation, vascular care, wound care, or compression therapy. Higher degrees preferred (MS/PhD/MD).
• Experience working directly with healthcare professionals in lymphedema, oedema management, wound care, oncology rehabilitation, or vascular specialties.
• Demonstrated experience developing and delivering clinical education programs.
• Medical device industry experience, preferred.
• Experience engaging KOLs and professional clinical organizations preferred.
• Proficient in relevant software applications, Microsoft Office Suite, AI resources and Virtual Learning platforms.
• Knowledge of business principles and practices preferred but not required.
• Willingness to travel within the region 40-60% depending on home location proximity to business needs.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
• Deep understanding of: Lymphedema pathophysiology and treatment, Complete Decongestive Therapy (CDT), Compression garment therapy, Venous and lymphatic disorders, Lipedema management, Wound care and edema management, Strong scientific presentation and communication skills, Ability to interpret and communicate clinical evidence.
