Position Summary:
The Retail Associate supports both industry professionals and the general public in a cash-and-carry retail environment, offering expert assistance with high-quality kitchen equipment, supplies, and smallware's.
Essential Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Greet and assist walk-in customers, providing knowledgeable service on commercial foodservice products.
- Guide customers through product selection based on their needs, whether for commercial kitchens, restaurants, bars, or home use.
- Operate the point-of sale (POS) system efficiently to complete transactions accurately.
- Answer inbound phone calls for catalog sales with the expectations of cross-selling additional items.
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound leads, follow-up calls, and emails timely.
- Retain and emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss credit terms, and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
- Restock shelves and maintain a clean, organized and professional showroom.
- Receive and unpack deliveries; assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
- Monitor and ensure product displaces are clean, current, and properly priced.
- Support wholesale and professional accounts with product inquiries and order pickups.
- Attend manufacturer trainings sessions to learn and expand on product knowledge.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Detail oriented
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- At least 1 year of sales and customer service experience preferred
- Culinary background helpful
- Proficiency in using Microsoft office products
- Reliable transportation to and from Retail Store.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
- Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
