As a Senior Accountant Consultant, you will serve as a trusted advisor to healthcare clients, leading accounting, reporting, budgeting, and financial management initiatives while developing your consulting, project management, and client advisory expertise.
You will work in a collaborative environment supporting federally qualified health centers and other community healthcare organizations that deliver essential services to communities. Our consultants gain exposure to diverse client challenges, build meaningful relationships, and contribute solutions that create measurable impact.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as finance support to healthcare clients by providing accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance support
- Support month-end and year-end close processes and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting
- Prepare, analyze, and communicate budgets, forecasts, dashboards, and key financial metrics
- Develop reimbursement, cost reporting, and compliance-related deliverables required within healthcare environments
- Manage multiple client projects simultaneously while meeting quality, timeline, and budget expectations
- Translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations for client leadership teams
- Identify process improvement opportunities and implement practical solutions that enhance financial operations
- Build and maintain strong client and internal stakeholder relationships through effective communication and collaboration
- Continuously expand consulting methodologies, industry knowledge, and subject matter expertise
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Sage, and MIP
- Ability to execute all aspects of the accounting cycle including but not limited to AP, AR, depreciation, JEs and completing month-end and year-end closing procedures and preparation of month-end financial statements and dashboards
- Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups, Xlookups, and Pivot Tables
- Efficient with Power Query and Power Pivot a plus
- Experience with general ledger functions
- Strong attention to detail

- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Willingness to share skills, competencies, and knowledge with others
Preferred Qualifications
- Healthcare finance, FQHC, non-profit or community health center experience
- Consulting, professional services, or public accounting background
- Experience with QuickBooks, Sage, MIP, or comparable accounting systems
- Experience with Power Query and Power Pivot
